Mike is a native Cape Codder, veteran of the Cape Cod music scene and the founder of CFZ. Known for his work as frontman for
rockers Borrowed Time and Grateful Dead tribute Lazy Lightning in the
90's. Mike performed and wrote songs for 2 CD’s "Seed" and "Blend" with BT
that still receive airplay on local radio stations. "Blend" was co-
produced with the band by respected rock producer Chris Lannon. Mike also Produced,
engineered and co-wrote all the songs on an early CFZ release "Simmer
Down" and also for his other band Big Rhythm Wine's debut CD
"Uncorked". He has performed countless shows all over New England with
BT, CFZ, Jukebox Zero and Big Rhythm Wine as well as fill in gigs
with In The Dark out of CT and Rhythm Ship out of NH. His musical
travels have led him to open for national acts Big Brother and The
Holding Company, Ten Years After, Tom Constanten (Grateful Dead), Canned
Heat and Jefferson Airplane. |
Steve (known to friends as Pokey) is
a South Shore MA native who moved to the Cape at the age of 10. He is a veteran
of the Cape Cod music scene having started out as a founding member of The
Suspects as well as Club Sandwich. He also was an original member of
care factor zero 1.0 waaay back in 1999. After a couple of years hiatus
to join the Peace Corp, Pokey, in a bloodless coup, has returned to his
rightful place upon the CFZ Bass throne. |
Colin is a NY native who traveled to
Cape Cod and became a regular on the music scene. The Natives and Cease
Fire were both hard working bands between 1987-2001. Prior he played in
NY with Ambush and since has drummed for Boston's Flash Mob. Colin can
also be seen as an occasional percussionist in Big Rhythm Wine. |
Dave is a native Cape Codder and
while the youngest of the group at 19 has a veteran amount of musical
work under his belt. He started piano at a very young age and while in
High School won a battle of the bands in a Allman Brothers/Pink Floyd
fusion of psychedelic jam blues. He spent a few years playing Cape clubs
in his band Sienna Sky as well as putting on self promoted shows such as
Dave Harris presents : The Dark Side of the Moon
(with 2010's Top 10 American Idol'er Siobhan Magnus). Dave also has a
background in sound engineering having worked for 6 years with Norstar
Technical Solutions.
Dave's many influences include Rick Wright (Pink Floyd), Page McConnell
(Phish), Danny Louis (Govt Mule) and Greg Allman. |
